Get a file name from the PDF's title or the largest text on its first page. The PDF itself isn't changed.
About Suggest a file name
Scanned and downloaded PDFs often have names like scan_0042.pdf. This tool suggests a name from the document's own title or main heading.

- One PDF file.
- What you get
- The suggested name, and a copy of the same PDF under that name. The content isn't changed.
How to use it
- Add your PDF.
- Choose where the name comes from and its longest length.
- Start.
- Download the copy with its new name.
Settings
- Name from: Auto (the title in the file's details, otherwise the largest text on page 1), the document title only, or the largest text only.
- Longest name in characters, without the .pdf extension.
Good to know
- If the file has no title and no readable text on page 1, no name can be suggested.
- Scanned pages have no text to read; run Make PDF searchable (OCR) first.
