The short version
- Only download and process content that you own or have the right to use. You're responsible for what you put through the service.
- We don't circumvent DRM or bypass access controls on private content, and you mustn't try to make the service do so.
- Plans come with limits. Paid plans are listed for reference only: payments are switched off and nothing is charged.
- Files are deleted automatically according to your plan, so keep your own copies of anything important.
Accepting these terms
By creating an account or using ToolsWar, you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
You must be old enough under the law where you live to enter into this agreement, or use the service with the consent of a parent or guardian.
The service
ToolsWar lets you download media from links you're allowed to save, process files (video, images, audio, PDFs and documents, archives and text recognition), and keep the results in a personal file library.
We improve the service continuously, so features, supported sources and plan limits may change. Where a change materially reduces what you can do, we'll try to give reasonable notice.
Your account
- Give accurate information and keep your email address up to date; some features require a verified email.
- Keep your sign-in details safe. We strongly recommend a passkey or two-factor authentication, and storing your recovery codes somewhere safe.
- You're responsible for activity on your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect someone else has accessed it.
- An account is for one person. Don't share it, sell it or create accounts to get around limits.
Your content and rights
You keep all rights to the files you upload and the content you download. You give us only the limited permission needed to store, process and deliver them to you as part of the service, and that permission ends when the files are deleted.
You are responsible for making sure you have the right to download, copy, convert or edit any content you use with ToolsWar. That generally means the content is yours, its owner has allowed it, or the law where you live permits your use. Respect copyright, creators' rights and the terms of the platforms you download from.
If you believe content stored on ToolsWar infringes your rights, contact us via the contact address shown in the app with enough detail for us to find it, and we'll act on valid notices.
Downloads, DRM and private content
- ToolsWar does not circumvent DRM or other technical protection measures. Protected content is refused.
- ToolsWar does not bypass access controls. Content that is private, requires signing in, or is restricted by its owner can't be downloaded, and we never use other people's credentials or cookies to reach it.
- Don't try to use the service to defeat these protections, for example by disguising links or chaining requests.
Downloads depend on third-party websites that can change or block access without notice. A source that works today might stop working tomorrow, and we can't guarantee any particular source, format or quality.
Telegram integration
You may connect only your own Telegram account, and download only from chats and channels that account can already access. Content its owner has marked as protected from forwarding or saving is not downloaded.
Telegram's own terms continue to apply to your use of Telegram. You can disconnect at any time, which deletes the session ToolsWar stored.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use ToolsWar to:
- Upload, create or distribute malware, or files designed to harm the service or other people.
- Store or process illegal content, including child sexual abuse material, content that promotes terrorism, or material that infringes others' rights.
- Harass, defraud or invade the privacy of others, including collecting their personal data without a lawful basis.
- Probe, scan or attack the service or other systems, or use it to reach internal networks.
- Overload the service, get around limits or rate limits, or automate access beyond normal use.
- Resell or offer the service to others without the operator's written permission.
We may remove content or refuse requests that break these rules.
Plan limits and rate limits
Each plan sets limits such as downloads per day, storage, maximum file size, simultaneous jobs, processing minutes per month and batch size. Current values are on the Plans page, and an administrator may adjust them for an account.
When you reach a limit, new requests are refused until the limit resets or you free up space. Extra jobs wait in a queue rather than running all at once. We also apply rate limits to protect the service; repeatedly hitting them may lead to temporary restrictions.
Processing results
We aim for accurate results, but some conversions can't be perfect. When a tool marks a result as approximate, for example converting a PDF to an editable document, layout and formatting may differ from the original. Text recognition (OCR) can contain mistakes.
Check results before relying on them, and keep your originals.
Plans and payments
Payments are currently switched off. Paid plans and their prices are shown for reference only. ToolsWar doesn't charge you anything and doesn't ask for card details. An administrator may assign a plan to an account manually, at no cost.
Before any paid subscription becomes available, we'll update these terms with the price, billing period, renewal, cancellation, refund and tax terms, and nothing will be charged without your explicit agreement.
Availability and maintenance
We work to keep ToolsWar available, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may pause the service for maintenance or updates; during maintenance the app shows a notice and some actions are temporarily unavailable.
Files are deleted automatically when your plan's retention period ends, and the service isn't a backup. Keep your own copies of anything you need.
Suspension and termination
We may limit, suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts the service or other users at risk, or where the law requires it. Where appropriate and lawful, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to respond or retrieve your files.
You can stop using ToolsWar and delete your account at any time from account settings.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no guarantees about its fitness for a particular purpose, or about the availability of third-party sources.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data or lost profits, or for how you use content you download or process. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim; while payments are switched off, that amount is zero.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under laws that can't be excluded by agreement.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. We'll change the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use ToolsWar after that means you accept the updated terms.
