Tables to CSV / Excel
Find the tables in a PDF's text and save each one as CSV, and as Excel if you like.
About Tables to CSV / Excel
This tool finds tables in a PDF by lining up the words into rows and columns, then saves each table as a CSV file you can open in a spreadsheet.
- What you add
- One PDF file with selectable text.
- What you get
- A CSV file for each table found, and an Excel file for each if you choose.
How to use it
- Add your PDF.
- Choose the pages and table settings.
- Turn on Excel if you want it, then start.
- Download the files.
Settings
- Pages: all, or a list such as 1-3,5.
- Gap between columns: lower it if columns get merged.
- Fewest rows and fewest columns for a group to count as a table.
- Also as Excel: gives each table as an Excel file too.
Good to know
- Scanned tables have no text to read; run Make PDF searchable (OCR) first.
- Tables with merged cells or no clear spacing may come out split or joined; check the result.
Your files are processed only for this operation and deleted when it finishes. No one at Tools War can view what you upload.
